My name is Rachel and I am a civil engineering student of UFSC (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina) in Brasil. I came to the Czech Republic with the objective to learn as much as possible, both on the subjects of my research and on culture, mores and history of this very different country. In Brasil I live in the south and my state is bigger than Czech Republic, so the contrast between how the government treats its individuals is huge. The bureaucracy and difficulties that students face in Brasil are interminable, so I was really surprised when I arrived at a country in which its Educational system is very complete and interested in making the student learn the most they can.
Even though I’ve been here a short time I can already say that Czech Republic is a very technological country and well resolved with most of the communal problems. People are already living in great conditions, so the issue here is for you to have a better life than you already have because all your basic need are already provided.
Brno University of Technology is the best place I could have chosen because I can see that the main goal of the people who are working in this institution is to develop students’ learning ability and to give the greatest amount of information for everyone to learn. For that, I think I am very lucky to have the opportunity of this internship, for develop myself in such a good place as BUT. I think that every student should do an internship for the purpose of making yourself better.
