Patent offer - Universal facade anchoring element

This Czech patent No.309,917, entitled "Universal Facade Anchor", solves a long-standing problem faced by building owners and managers: how to securely and reliably attach various items to a thermal insulation facade without damaging it. While thermal insulation systems (e.g. ETICS) are excellent in terms of energy savings, once they are penetrated by conventional drilling, the protective layer is compromised, thermal bridges are created and leakage or peeling of the plaster can occur.

The patented universal facade anchor offers an elegant and safe solution. It consists of two plates - a bottom plate that is glued to the façade surface and a top plate to which any object can be easily and firmly attached. The two plates are separated by an air gap and connected by a screw mechanism that allows the distance between them to be precisely adjusted and any unevenness of the surface to be compensated.

Functional pattern - exemplary design

This allows the element to be adapted to the specific conditions on site and to achieve reliable fixing without drilling, without disturbing the plaster and without limiting the function of the insulation system. Moreover, the entire solution is versatile - the element can be made in different shapes (e.g. round or square), sizes and technical variants and is thus suitable for a wide range of applications.

The result is a durable, clean and secure anchoring with minimal structural interference and maximum protection for the façade.

Expected market

The patented façade anchoring element targets the market of building components and systems for building insulation, especially in the segment of additional anchoring of elements to finished façades. It can be used in new buildings as well as in renovations, where it is necessary to fix objects to the insulated surfaces without interfering with the plaster or the supporting structure. The market mainly includes applications in the field of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS), where it is necessary to eliminate the formation of thermal bridges and ensure the longevity of facade surfaces. Due to the versatility of the solution and the possibility of adapting to different types of surfaces, the element has potential beyond ETICS - e.g. in interiors, prefabricated buildings, installation of small technologies or design elements where it is crucial to maintain the integrity and appearance of the substrate.

The final product according to the patent is ideal for:

  • Manufacturers and suppliers of facade systems (ETICS): the system solutions presented in the catalogue
  • Construction and installation companies: installers, fitters, contractors, tradesmen
  • Architects and designers
  • Homeowners and end customers
  • Building supervisors and professional organisations

The product has the ambition to be offered in every construction shop, with the potential to be produced in batches of thousands.
