Offer of patent - Material prefabricated floor element
This is Czech patent No. 309 509 entitled "Prefabricated floor element," which deals with an innovative solution. The subject of patent protection is a floor element (tile) measuring 400x400 mm, which is intended primarily for so-called dry floor systems (without wet construction processes). This patented floor element has a specially shaped upper surface, thanks to which a hot water floor heating system can be easily installed in the floor. Thanks to the material used – concrete – the floor tile also significantly improves the thermal stability of the space (maintaining a comfortable temperature in both winter and summer) and the acoustic properties (increasing noise reduction) of the floor in which it is used.

The patented piece is designed primarily for lightweight structures, such as wooden buildings and prefabricated houses, where there are often problems with thermal stability and noise. These types of buildings usually use lightweight materials that themselves poorly insulate sound and insufficiently accumulate heat. So far, layers created by wet processes (e.g. concreting) have been used to solve these problems, but this contradicts the basic principle of dry construction technologies.
This patent combines the advantages of traditional heavy (solid) floors created using wet methods with the simplicity and speed of installation of dry systems. Production of this patented element is also easy and uses commonly available building material – concrete, which allows it to be manufactured in existing production plants.
The patented floor panel is used as part of the floor composition, so it is not determined as a single and final tread layer.
Expected market
The patented floor element is designed especially for markets where light prefabricated structures are increasingly used, especially wooden buildings, modular or prefabricated buildings, where fast construction is key without the use of wet building processes (e.g. concrete on the construction site). In these markets, there is a significant increase in demand for environmentally friendly and energy-saving solutions, which at the same time provide high comfort of living (good thermal stability, low energy costs and better acoustics).
The final product according to the patent is ideal for:
- implementation and construction companies that specialize in the construction of light structures, wooden buildings, modular or prefabricated houses and need to solve the thermal stability and acoustics of floor structures without the need for concrete on the construction site;
-
the manufacturer of concrete and prefabricated elements, which can easily include the patented element in its production programmes without the need for extensive production technology;
-
designers and architects who design buildings in lightweight construction systems and are looking for flexible and simple solutions to ensure comfortable and energy-efficient heating without the use of wet building procedures;
-
end users and building owners who prefer ecological and economic solutions with long-term sustainable value (low energy consumption, comfort of living, better acoustic properties).
At the same time, thanks to the simplicity, versatility of use and the availability of material, this patent has the potential not only on the Czech market, but also in the markets of neighbouring countries and in general wherever the segment of lightweight structures and modular housing is dynamically developing.
