The course will provide students with information about environmental problems, anthropogenic activities, waste production, individual types of waste and their characteristics, processing, recycling and basic processing technologies - biological, thermal, landfilling and solidification. Students will also learn about basic approaches of waste analysis. In addition, alternative ways of waste treatment will be discussed.

Učební cíle
Students gain basic awareness of environmental problems, knowledge of waste management and management, waste analysis, conventional and special methods of waste treatment. Graduates will then have an overview of the individual types of waste and their properties, they will have the results of their analysis and, as a result, they will be able to design suitable waste disposal strategies, they will be suitable for suitable methods of waste disposal and they will be parameterized correctly.

- 8. Thermal methods of waste processing – pyrolysis, gasification, product recovery.

- 10. Waste types, source of waste, hazardous waste, solidification, tailings impoundment.
