Syllabus

  • Font, font types and their properties, application possibilities.
  • Plain text typography - special symbols and characters and their purpose and technical solutions in the document.
  • Paragraph typesettin, paragraph parameters, types of paragraphs in the documents, technical solutions.
  • The typesetting of the page - page layout, structure of the text, header and footer, footnotes, multicolumn typesetting.
  • The document layout, composition of different page types, generation of document content and index.
  • Mathematical symbols and expressions combined with text.
  • Principles and processing of tabular material.
  • Graphical representation of information - charts, graphs, diagrams and other visual accessories.
  • Basic editing of bitmap images. Creating photomontages, geometric transformations in the image.
  • Application of perspective. Completion of visualization model in a bitmap graphic editor.
  • Example of rendered image export from CAD model into Photoshop, view settings and lighting model in CAD, rendering parameters, compliance with the source picture.
  • Principles of research, scientific and professional work ethics, plagiarism.
  • Introduction to presentation techniques, examples of bad and good presentations, analysis of nonverbal communication.
  • Principles of correct presentation with examples - font size, color scheme, number of slides.
  • Presentation in the form of a poster, infographics - layout, editing text and images.
  • Introduction to the creation of mind maps and their use in presentation.
