Syllabus

Font, font types and their properties, application possibilities. Plain text typography - special symbols and characters and their purpose and technical solutions in the document. Paragraph typesettin, paragraph parameters, types of paragraphs in the documents, technical solutions. The typesetting of the page - page layout, structure of the text, header and footer, footnotes, multicolumn typesetting. The document layout, composition of different page types, generation of document content and index. Mathematical symbols and expressions combined with text. Principles and processing of tabular material. Graphical representation of information - charts, graphs, diagrams and other visual accessories. Basic editing of bitmap images. Creating photomontages, geometric transformations in the image. Application of perspective. Completion of visualization model in a bitmap graphic editor. Example of rendered image export from CAD model into Photoshop, view settings and lighting model in CAD, rendering parameters, compliance with the source picture. Principles of research, scientific and professional work ethics, plagiarism. Introduction to presentation techniques, examples of bad and good presentations, analysis of nonverbal communication. Principles of correct presentation with examples - font size, color scheme, number of slides. Presentation in the form of a poster, infographics - layout, editing text and images. Introduction to the creation of mind maps and their use in presentation.
