The subject is designed to help students to deal with professional Russian texts at the B1-B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference. Students should master key phrases of academic Russian as well as basic professional terminology so that they are able to effectively find out information in professional sources. Emphasis will also be put on the development of listening and active communication skills (obligatory PowerPoint presentations on the given technical topic).

Objective

The aim of this course is to expand students’ knowledge of Russian vocabulary in the area of Building construction and improve communicative skills in Russian.

Knowledge

Student will accomplish the aim of this course if he enlarges his knowledge of Russian vocabulary in the area of Building construction and improves his communicative skills in Russian language.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of general Russian at B1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
