On 27–28 May 2026, Brno will host the 29th International Conference on Building Materials, Products & Technologies (ICBMPT 2026). The conference is jointly organised by the Research Institute of Building Materials (VÚSH), the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Brno University of Technology (FCE VUT), and the Association for Alternative Building Materials (ASAM).

ICBMPT connects materials research, industrial practice and the sustainability agenda. The 2026 edition will focus in particular on:

• low-carbon binders and concrete,
• the use of fly ash and other energy by-products,
• circularity and reuse of construction materials,
• applications of artificial intelligence in materials research, testing and quality control,
• assessment of the environmental footprint of building materials.

FCE VUT will be involved both in the technical programme and in engaging students and early-career researchers. For academics and industry partners, the conference offers an opportunity to present research results, exchange experience and build new collaborations in the field of innovative and sustainable building materials.
