Employees of the Institute of Landscape Water Management have won a prestigious award with their spin-off ConWe
ConWe is the first spin-off company to come out of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Thanks to it, the researchers of the Institute of Landscape Water Management can easily transfer their findings into practice. And it was in this way that the construction of an extensive wastewater treatment plant for the village of Hlína by Ivančice town was designed. It was an ambitious project that uses two-stage vertical filters as the main stage of treatment - a technology that originated in Austria but has not been applied in our country.
That is, until now.
At the end of this year, the construction was completed and is now undergoing a trial operation. In March, the plant became the Water Management Construction of 2022 in the category of construction of the branch of water supply and sewerage with investment costs up to CZK 50 million. In April, the plant won the competition Construction of the South Moravian Region 2022 in the category of Water Management and Environmental Construction.
