On Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., the 25th ceremonial assembly of the academic community and employees of the Faculty of Civil Engineering BUT was held in the faculty auditorium on the occasion of the commemoration of the events of November 17, 1939 and 1989. At this ceremonial event, the Signum Prosperitatis and Signum Excellentiae medals were awarded. The Signum Prosperitatis medals are awarded to bachelor's, master's and doctoral students for significant student activities. The Signum Excellentiae medal is intended for employees of current, former, other schools and faculties, practice, etc., for merit in the development of the faculty, science, education or academic freedoms, its status and prestige in the Czech Republic and abroad. These medals are awarded in gold, silver and bronze variants. Proposals for gold medals are approved by the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Civil Engineering BUT in Brno.
