Syllabus

  • 1. Historical development of urban transport and urban roads, means of transport
  • 2. Urban roads, classification and design elements of these roads.
  • 3. Design elements of roads I. - design speed, directional routing
  • 4. Design elements of roads II. - height guidance of the route, length of viewpoints for stopping
  • 5. Design elements of roads III. - width layout of urban roads
  • 6. Design elements of intersections
  • 7. City intersections, level and elevated, simple, directed and controlled intersections.
  • 8. Design parameters of pedestrian crossings and crossing points
  • 9. Modification of buildings for people with reduced mobility
  • 10. Road structures, tunnels, bridges, walls.
  • 11. Individual motor transport.
  • 12. Static transport - parking and parking of vehicles, garages.
  • 13. Current topic.

Exercise

13 weeks, 1 hours/week, compulsory

Syllabus

The output of the course will be:

  • Design of traffic solution of the city street - situation.
  • Longitudinal profile of the specified street.
  • Example cross section of local road.
  • Elaboration of situational solution of city intersection.
