Syllabus

  • 1. Control of river basin runoff, basic terms.
  • 2. Fundamental for water management solution of the reservoirs and systems.
  • 3. Reservoirs, distribution, basic equation of the reservoirs, functional volumes.
  • 4.–6. Water management solution of the supply function of the reservoir (water management balance, basic types of the tasks – numerical and graphical solution, losses).
  • 7.–8. Water management solution of the protection function of the reservoir (retention volume controllable and uncontrollable and their combination, simulation of the reservoir behavior).
  • 9. Reservoirs operation, manipulation order and dispatcher graph.
  • 10. Reservoirs in natural environment, definition of water managenet system,, basic characteristics.
  • 11. Water management systems, common procedure for solving basic types of the tasks, schematization.
  • 12. The role of optimum control of the water supply systems and role of optimum development of water supply system, protection function of water management systems.
