The course is for real beginners, and is based on units 1 - 4 of the text book Nuevo Espaňol en marcha - Nivel básico.
The students will learn the basics of communication in these situations: greetings, introductions, ask about profession, address, telephone number, nationality, time, ask and tell directions, describe their home, ask about the position of objects in a house, how much the rent is, to order a drink in a bar or a meal in a restaurant.

The aim of this course is to teach the Spanish language and the basic communicative skills that are necessary to achieve the A1 inferior level.

Knowledge

The student will be able to understand basic and sipmle expressions and phrases, will be able to communicatein very basic situations, will achieve the target level A1 lower according to the CEFR

Syllabus

1. Unidad 0 - Introduction to the system of Spanish, alphabet, pronunciation and orthography, introducing yourself. 2. Unidad 1A - Conjugation of verb SER, personal pronouns, deriving femenine forms of nouns, conjugation of Llamarse, vocabulary – Professions 1. 3. Unidad 1B - Introducing friends, ask about nationality, conjugation of Trabajar, Vivir, and irregular verb Tener, vocabulary Professions 2. 4. Unidad 1C - Numbers 1-9, communication In the gym, question words, greetings. 5. Unidad 2A – Plural of nouns, definite articles, description of family, and family relations. 6. Unidad 2B – Conjugation of ESTAR, prepositions of place, description of a room, possessive pronouns, demonstrative pronouns. 7. Unidad 2C - Going around a town, ask directions, telling and asking the time. 8. Unidad 3A – Conjugation of reflexive verbs Levantarse, Acostarse, description of daily routines, prepositions of time, irregular verbs Ir, Venir, Volver. 9. Unidad 3B – Vocabulary – days of week, description of working day, vocabulary – professions 3. 10. Unidad 3C – Vocabulary – breakfast, food for breakfast in various countries, how to order a meal. 11. Unidad 4A + 4B – Description of a house, cardinal numbers 1st – 10th, telling in what floor you live, description of the interior of your room, the differences and use of the verbs Estar and Hay. 12. Unidad 4C – Description of a hotel room, booking a room, description of a Spanish patio. 13. Credit test.
