Elaboration of topical information concerning the problems of the selected field – Physical and Building Material Engineering – with the support of the supervisor and with the help of minor supervisors from other special and scientific workplaces of the Faculty, of the University and out-of school scientific and research establishments. Working on simulation or experimental parts concerning the theme of the dissertation thesis. The publication and presentation of creative work outputs. Making up the semestral timetable of participations on special actions (seminars, conferences, scientific congresses) and in the same time on research fellowships in scientific and academic establishments abroad. It is advantageous for creative activities to cooperate directly with the practice in the scope of research projects solution.

Objective
The doctorand complete under the direction of the supervisor within the frame of the doctoral seminar further theoretical and special information from the area of Physical and Building Materials Engineering which concern the theme of the thesis. In this way conditions are established for his independent theoretical, creative and scientific work, which serves as the base for the elaboration of doctoral theses.
Prerequisites
Knowledge on the level of the University graduate at the Department of Civil Engineering, specialization Building Materials Engineering. Practice is an advantage.

Syllabus
1.–13. Completion of the doctoral thesis and preparation of the thesis synopsis. Preparation of supporting materials to be presented during the thesis defence. Publishing activities (e.g. work on a contribution to a professional/scientific conference, or work on an article for a specialised/peer-reviewed/high-impact factor journal). Participation in professional or scientific events.
