The use of radiometric methods for measuring the density and humidity of building materials. Design and realization of shielding structures against the effects of ionizing radiation. Radiographic investigation of the course of reinforcement in reinforced concrete structures and pre-stressed concrete structures.

Acquainting of students with latest flaw detection and other methods used for building materials and structures testing, seminar thesis elaborating with entries of suitable testing methods in relation to the diploma thesis theme.

Syllabus

1.–4. Assignment and processing of research in the field of radiation methods in the building industry.
5.–8. Seminar thesis entry and its consultation.
9.–13. Final consultation, seminar thesis submission, oral examination.

Prerequisites

Graduate from faculty of civil engineering, knowledge of subjects specialized in building testing, diagnostic equipment, building survey and quality management.
