German for Pre-Intermediate Students II

BYN22 course is not part of any programme in the faculty

Grammar: Konjunktiv II, declination of adjectives after the indefinite article, definite article and no article, comparatives and superlatives, the passive, prepositions and conjunctions, adjective endings, indirect questions, revision of tenses and complex sentences

Vocabulary: culture and free time, shopping, furniture, at the post office, city traffic, weather, travelling and accomodation, money

forming of simple texts on basic common topics,

The student will be able to understand basic information that is expressed clearly and in a standard way, will be able to form short simple texts on common topics, will reach the target level A2 higher according to the CEFR


Students should be familiar with grammar and vocabulary taught in the courses BYN1, BYN12 and BYN2.
Grammar: conjugation of basic verbs, personal and possessive pronouns, word order, negation, definite and indefinite article, plural, basic and ordinal numerals, time expressions, modal verbs, past tenses, adverbs, imperative, prepositions with dative and accusative, subjunctive, reflexive verbs, verbs with prepositions, question words, direct and indirect object and their position in the sentence, conjunctions weil, dass, wenn

Vocabulary: meeting others, introducing yourself, family, food and drink, living in a house or a flat, my day, free time, learning, jobs, body parts and health, clothes, shopping, holidays and travelling, in the restaurant, at work, sport and fitness, education and career, celebrations
