Lecture by leading Polish scientist Prof. Lesiuk on fatigue of materials

On March 12, 2024, Professor Grzegorz Lesiuk from the University of Wrocław will arrive at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of BUT and will give a lecture on the theory of bridge steel degradation at 10 am in the STM C421 meeting room.

Professor Grzegorz Lesiuk works at the Department of Mechanics, Materials and Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Technical University of Wroclaw. He is the chairman of the Polish Fracture Mechanics Group and a member of the advisory board of the T.I.M.E. network. His scientific activities concern mechanics, fracture mechanics and fatigue of materials and structures, as well as new materials and modelling of their resistance under cyclic and static loading. In this field, he has published more than 120 scientific papers in reputed national and international scientific and technical journals and more than 150 conference papers. He also has one patent and four patent applications to his credit.
