Construction and Project Management: Practical Skills and Applications

VVC002 course is not part of any programme in the faculty

The aim of the subject is to empower participants with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to manage the complexities of construction projects. Within the virtual part, students will gain basic knowledge regarding five selected areas (online lectures). Subsequently, within the physical activity, they will solve case studies and specific tasks, in the form of teamwork (international composition of teams). What students qwill learn (content):

  1. How to effectively engage construction project stakeholders?
  2. How to understand the economic context of public investment projects?
  3. How to develop logical frame, WBC and time plan?
  4. How to apply financial ratios to gain meaningful information about a company?
  5. How to estimate the price of construction works?

The BIP includes Virtual component (October 6 – 7, 2025; focusing on the theoretical background to individual topics) before the start of the physical mobility (October 13 – 17, 2025; i.e. in-person mobility week – practical international team work, students’ presentations, excursions).
