Academic Year 2024/25
BMA001 course is part of 2 study plans
BPC-SI / K Winter Semester 3rd year
BPC-MI Winter Semester 3rd year
Materials and technologies for the road construction. Getting knowledge about basic materials which are used in the road construction (soils, aggregates, bitumens, asphalts, concretes etc.), their properties and quality demands.
In connection with the material properties production and building-in technologies of particular construction layers of flexible and rigid pavements are going over, further also test systems for quality control.
Principles of the road construction design according to catalogue.
Road distresses and road material recycling technologies.

Aims
Complete highway route design, computation of highway geometry.
Highway history and development, Traffic flow and road capacity.
Physical conditions of vehicle motion, vehicle characteristics.
Economy, safety, external traffic impact.
Students are able to find routing of highway under uncomplicated conditions and draw and print a lay-out of plans. Students finalize basic project documentation according to czech standards. They are able to assess alternative solutions and find optimum.
