Syllabus

1.Brick products, their use and properties. Brick raw materials, demands concerning their properties. 2.Raw material preparation, beneficiation lines, homogenization. Shaping in brick industry, paste rheology, auger machine, 3.Drying in brick industry. 4.Burning in brick industry. Properties of burnt brick body in dependence on porosity. 5.Ceramic lining elements. 6.Stoneware. 7.Porcelain. Sanitary ceramics. 8.Engobes and glazes. 9.Refractory materials and their selected basic properties. 10.Acidic refractory products- chamotte, ganister. 11.Basic refractory products. 12.Refractory concrete based on Portland cement and aluminous cement. 13.Silicon-carbide products, graphite and carbon products.Refractory materials from pure oxides.
