The importance of geodesy in construction. Coordinate systems, reference frames, and height systems in the Czech Republic and the EU.
Angular, linear, and height measurements, geodetic calculations. Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS).
Methods of collecting spatial data – geodetic, GNSS, terrestrial and airborne laser scanning, mobile mapping systems.
Setting out buildings, control measurements, determining shifts and deformations, special surveying tasks.
Real estate cadastre, obtaining information from the Cadastre.
Cartography, national mapping, geographic information systems (GIS), building information modeling (BIM).

Aims

Basics of Geodesy for Construction. A student will get familiar with the basics of geodesy for construction, the methods used, practical applications, and the use of the knowledge gained.
