The content is archived. Information may be outdated or misleading.

The 8 from BUT show had to explain the essence and contribution of their bachelor thesis in an engaging and understandable way within ten minutes.

The Audience Award went to Michal Grund from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of BUT. He focused on designing in the near future. He presented the design of the new building of the University Climbing Centre Pardubice and the preparation of the implementation documentation with an emphasis on the use of modern 3D modelling tools.

The best of all faculties for the jury was Sara Jobranová, who is a student of the Master's programme Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Information Technology of the BUT. She presented the difficult topic of quantum circuit simulation.

Second place went to Tomas Janoušek (FSI BUT) with his design of a small low-cost robot based on the industrial concept SCARA. This type of robots is used, for example, in the food or pharmaceutical industry.

The third Andrej Ilič (FaVU BUT) presented an innovative product design of a prototype of a hanging luminaire ready for mass production. The luminaire impresses with its unusual visual effect. The design of the luminaire is conceived as a modular system, which allows working with multiple pieces of the luminaire as a kit.

Each participant will receive a scholarship of 2000 CZK. The three winners will receive an extraordinary scholarship in addition to a diploma and small gifts with the BUT brand. The awards were decided by a jury, which included representatives of the BUT - Bursar Daniela Němcová, Vice-Rector Milan Houser, Head of the Student Affairs Department Hana Odstrčilová, President of the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate Daniel Janík and Head of the Marketing Department Markéta Soukupová.
