PhD study of Geodesy and Cartography study branch is focused on scientific training, on acquaintance with methodology of scientific work, and on progress of knowledge in field of theoretical geodetic and cartographic sciences including associated science disciplines. It is based on contemporary scientific knowledge, research and development, on mastering of the applications, and also on development of capacity for individual creative activity. Scientific training in the specialization is based on mastering of initial fundamental theoretical disciplines, and mastering of theoretical and scientific disciplines of particular special subjects. The graduate is able to find his place in development and research of the appropriate specialization, in solving the demanding non-traditional complicated geodetic and cartographic problems. They are also employed as university academic staff.
