Master's study programme with Full-Time Mode of Study (continuing) in Czech
Study aims
The follow-up master's study program Architecture and Urban Development is based on:
- Act No. 111/1998 Coll., On Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education Institutions),
- Act 360/1992 Coll., On the exercise of the profession of authorized architects and on the exercise of the profession of authorized engineers and technicians active in construction,
- Authorization Rules of the Czech Chamber of Architects.
- European Directive 2005/36 / EC on the recognition of professional qualifications.
It responds to changes in the performance of the profession of architect, which occur both abroad and at home. It complements the unsatisfied requirements for the expanding demands of professional qualifications. To do this, it uses the possibilities of the professional background of the parent faculty. It expands the range of the study of architecture with disciplines not yet offered, especially from the social sciences and economics. The study is in accordance with the Act on Higher Education Institutions four-semester (two-year), ending with a diploma thesis. An important part of the study program is also professional practice with future employers in response to the requirements of the profession and the result of the assessment of tertiary education in the Czech Republic by OECD experts. A graduate of any bachelor's degree in architecture can apply to study this study program.
After successful completion of the final state examination, the graduate is entitled to use the title of Ing. arch.
