CF056 course is part of 1 study plan

N-P-C-SI (N) / K Winter Semester 2nd year

The seminary is aimed to develop the diploma thesis.
The complex graduate project, stability problems in geotechnical structures, the design and realization in very complicated geotechnical conditions, the choice of technological process, optimalization.
Special problems of solving graduate project, building and working stages, identification of factors effecting soil-construction interaction, conception of solving, alternatives, investigation of definitive state, work with educational literature, elaboration of engaged themes, seminaries to actually problems of structure foundations.

Course Guarantor

Institute

Objective

During the course the students learn to use theoretical knowledge obtained in previous ages for solution of more complicated geotechnical problems. The students will be able to solve complex geotechnical tasks including analysis of the problem, educational literature and standards, making of geotechnical profile, input geotechnical data, computation model, analysis of results.

Knowledge

Student will master the aim of course and learn to use theoretical knowledge obtained in previous ages for solution of more complicated geotechnical problems.

Prerequisites

Soil properties, limit states theory, basic principles of structural mechanics, elasticity and strength theories, knowledge of an assessment of building structures, foundation engineering, underground structures, geotechnical computation programmes.
