Academic Year 2023/24

BO054 course is part of 2 study plans

B-K-C-SI (N) / S Summer Semester 4th year

B-P-C-SI (N) / S Summer Semester 4th year

This subject is focused on obtaining of advanced knowledge in case of design and evaluation of steel, timber and composite load-bearing constructions (e.g. modes of a solution of more complicated cases of load, connections, etc.). It is as well focused on more complex principles of design, realization and drawing of steel, timber and steel-concrete constructions.

Course Guarantor

Institute

Objective

Obtaining more detail knowledge in problem of design of metal or timber structures directed to the theme of bachelors project.

Knowledge

A student work out the individual bachelors project, since he obtains more detail knowledge in problem of design of metal or timber structures.

Prerequisites

- Advanced knowledge in structure mechanics, elasticity and plasticity.
- Advanced knowledge in structure design according to limit state method.
- Abilities in a creation of computational models of hall type buildings.
- Abilities in a determination and application of basic types of load on constructions according EC (self-weight, snow and wind load).
- Advanced knowledge in design and evaluation of steel-concrete composite constructions, connections and anchoring according EC.
