Specific admission requirements

Admission of applicants for a follow-up Master's degree program at the Faculty of Civil Engineering is governed by the Higher Education Act, the BUT Statute, the BUT Faculty Statute and the relevant Dean's Directives at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The Dean's Directive specifies in detail: - the manner and time limit for the submission of applications for study, - the method of substantiating the required educational attainment by the Higher Education Act, - the form of the entrance examination (see below) with the specification of the subjects of the entrance examination, the extent of the minimum required knowledge and the method and criteria for the evaluation of the entrance examination and other facts decisive for admission to study, - rules governing the remission of the entrance examination, - the minimum level of fulfillment of the requirements necessary for admission to the study program, - binding dates, in particular the dates of the entrance examinations as well as substitute dates, or the date of the supplementary entrance examinations round, - deadlines for sending invitations to the entrance examination and deadlines for the candidate to inspect, in accordance with the Higher Education Act, his / her material relevant to the decision on admission to study, - the method of assessing the absence of excuses at the entrance examination; defining the possibility of taking the entrance examination in the alternative term, - the method of notifying candidates of the results obtained at the entrance examination, including the date of notification. - announcement of the results of the entrance examination, drawing up a waiting list, deciding whether or not to accept and enrolling admitted applicants for study. The entrance examination takes the form of a test of basic theoretical courses profiling foundation and courses profiling foundation specialization in the range of required knowledge for a graduate of the four-year bachelor study program Civil Engineering, specializing in Building Construction at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.
