Physilco-mechanical influences (effects of moisture, freeze, loading etc.). 3. Evaluation of particular sort of corrosive conditions and their influence on building materials (gaseous media). 4. Evaluation of particular sort of corrosive conditions and their influence on building materials (liquids). 5.–7. Mechanism of concrete deterioration and corrosion of reinforcement (corrosion of steel elements in concrete, genesis of cracks, peeling, calcareous and magnesium expansions, sulphate attack, etc.). 8. The basic principles of protection building materials.

Exercise

13 weeks, 2 hours/week, compulsory

Syllabus

1. Definition of basic terms in testing the durability of building materials. 2. Preparation of specimens for testing the corrosion resistance of cement composites, production aggressive solutions. 3. Preparation of specimens for testing the basic parameters of durability of concrete (frost resistance, water resistance, etc.). 4. Implementation of durability testing, evaluation. 5. Introduction to physical-chemical analyzes in evaluating the state of building materials. 6. Practical application of physical-chemical analyzes in the evaluation of the material exposed in the specific kontext. 7. Laboratory testing of the effectiveness of secondary protection. 8. Credit test, granting the credit.
