Syllabus

1. General aspects of design methods of concrete and masonry structures. 2.–3. Physically non-linear behaviour of structures for different stresses. 4. Probability-based method. 5. Geometric non-linear behaviour of structures. 6. The effects of deformation stresses. 7. Design of structures using specific methods with respect to the non-linear properties and a model of structure as a composite setting. 8.–9. Modelling time-dependent phenomena, stort-term and long-term processes; basic principles. 10. Modern methods of design of selected concrete and masonry structures - foundations. 11. Modern methods of design of selected concrete and masonry structures - special building structures. 12. Modern methods of design of selected concrete and masonry structures - special engineering structures. 13. Optimisation of design of concrete and masonry structures. Influence and importance of details of designed structure on complete technical solution.
