INFROMATION ON THE UPCOMING ERASMUS+ STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

The Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, has a number of bilateral agreements with partner institutions across Europe in specific subject areas of civil engineering. The Erasmus+ programme is a European Commission programme providing funds to support student and teacher exchange programmes between institutions within Europe and associated countries.

Through this programme, students are allowed to study at Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering, if they have previously studied at one of the partner institutions in the relevant subject area, and if they have been selected for this programme by their University. Please contact your own International Office for information about its bilateral agreements and selection procedure.

APPLICATION AND ADMISSION PROCEDURES

The admission procedure contains following steps:
  1. Student must be nominated by his/her home university – appropriate international relations coordinator sends a nomination to: mobility@fce.vutbr.cz or pospisilova.a@fce.vutbr.cz.
  2. Student must fill:
    • the E-application form
    • the e-learning agreement (within the E-application)
  3. After we confirm the e-learning agreement, following documents must be sent to mobility@fce.vutbr.cz or pospisilova.a@fce.vutbr.cz:
    • Application Form – printed and scanned, signed by student and signed and stamped by the home university
    • Learning Agreement – printed and scanned, signed by student and signed and stamped by the home university
    • Transcript of Records – contains a list of subjects passed at home university, written in English
    • Copy of a passport or Identification Card
    • Photo in JPG format
  4. After we receive all the documents then we will send the Acceptance letter and signed Learning agreement back.

Electronic application will be open from: 30. 3. to 31. 5. 2017 15. 9. to 15. 11. 2017
Submission documents on paper must be delivered at FCE untill: 15. 6. 2017 30. 11. 2017

Notes:

  • Exchange students must be enrolled as fulltime students at BUT FCE, and it is expected for selected subjects (offered by BUT FCE for the next academic year on the web site) to meet the minimum requirement of 18 ECTS credits per semester.
  • Exchange students who are going to do a final work or a thesis will let us know the topic + description and what level they study (bachelor´s, master´s, doctoral). We will find a corresponding supervisor and students will be informed. Students cannot defend the thesis at FCE BUT, they can only present it and receive evaluation.
  • Students have to send us the topic at least one month before the deadline !!!
  • Student can request accommodation only after receiving an Acceptance Letter and signed Learning Agreement.
  • Student is asked to include his/her name, home university and previous conversation to each e-mail correspondence.

Note

The latest possible date to start studing at Faculty of Civil Engineering in Brno is 14 days after the semester starts.

Information for non EU students

Students from non-European countries need a VISA!

The visa processing may take two months after submitting all forms at the consulate of the Czech Republic in the student´s country. Those students will need from us the following admission documents:

  • Confirmation of Study in Czech language
  • Acceptance letter in English
  • Proof of Accommodation
  • Signed Learning Agreement

Therefore we kindly ask students to complete E-application and E-learning agreement and to send all submission documents on time. We recommend to send the documents: for winter semester 31. 5. 2017 and for summer semester 15. 11. 2017.
