Test details

Test 1
(10 minutes)
Calculate and draw lines of shear forces and bending moments on statically determinate structure consisting of 2-3 beams, see examples in figure bellow.

Test 2
(15 minutes)
Construct influence lines for reaction, shear force and bending moment at given positions on the beam. Use constructed lines for determination of their values. See example in figure bellow.

Test 3
(15 minutes)
Determine displacement or rotation of the beam at given point using principle of virtual work. See examples in figure bellow.

Test 4
(15 minutes)
Calculate and draw bending moments on a continuous beam. The values of bending moments at supports will be known. See example in figure bellow.

Test 5
(10 minutes)
Determine the degree of static indeterminacy of the structure in the figure. Create (at least one possible) basic statically determinate system by releasing indeterminate constraints. For given released constraints, introduce unknown redundant forces/moments.
